Many big names have established themselves in the cloud arena with their exceptional services in a cloud computing environment, including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform, Rackspace, IBM Cloud, and others. Microsoft Azure is the market leader among these, with a share of 29 percent of the cloud computing market.
The most valuable certification in cloud computing is a Microsoft Azure certification.
What is an Azure Certification?
Microsoft has updated its Azure role-based certifications, including Azure Administrator, Azure Solution Architect, Azure Developer, and Azure AI Engineer, as well as introducing three new certificates, namely;
- AI-900- The Azure AI Fundamentals Exam
- DP-900, Azure Data Fundamentals Exam, which are both foundational pathways.
- The alternative certification is the Azure Database Administrator Exam DP-300, an associate path.
Microsoft offers 12 Azure certificates, each with 14 examinations, divided into three levels: Fundamental, Associate, and Expert. Azure certifications are solely to enhance knowledge and abilities for work roles.
Other Azure specialty or role-based certifications can be used to prepare for Azure Fundamentals, although it is not mandatory.
Who should take this exam?
In Azure’s new role-based certification path, Microsoft has produced a certification called “Microsoft Certified Azure Fundamentals.”
This exam is for non-technical people who want to test their basic knowledge, as well as technical people who want to test their basic understanding of Azure cloud services. It is necessary to pass the AZ-900 exam to earn this certification.
How will this exam help you?
This exam can check your understanding of Azure fundamentals and prepare you for further Azure certification courses. Depending on the purpose or function, each type of exam has its own set of details. There will be a lot of information about Microsoft MCSA tests, role-based exams, and so on.
Below are the details required for your Azure certificate examination:
|Understanding cloud concepts||15-20%|
|Understanding core Azure services||30-35%|
|Understanding privacy, security, compliance, and trust||25-30%|
|Understanding Azure pricing and support||20-25%|
What is the structure of the Azure-900 test?
On an AZ-900 test, you can expect 40 to 60 questions which you will have to answer in 85 minutes, as with most Azure exams. The test will include a case study, a short response, repeated answer alternatives, a build list, a multiple-choice, a review screen, a brand review, an active screen, improved answer, drag and drop, and so on. During your examination, you can answer as many questions as you want. Giving erroneous responses will not result in negative marking.
The passing criteria for AZ-900 Exam
To pass this exam, you must obtain a minimum of 700 marks. The results of your exam will be available a few minutes after the exam has ended.
However, you may have to wait a few days for a complete dashboard. The dashboard might include a variety of information, such as overall exam results, pass/fail status, a bar chart showing exam performance in important categories, and instructions on how to interpret the data.
Azure certification cost
Before you begin studying for the AZ-900 exam, you must first check the exam cost. Exam fees are subject to change depending on the location of the exam. The exam will cost $99 (INR 7300) if you live in the United States. If you’re a member of the Microsoft Imagine Academy program, the Microsoft Partner Network program, or a Microsoft Certified Trainer, you’ll get a discount. A fee reduction is also available to students.
